Brenda Tallent Downs, 61, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, October 03, 2009.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Tallent and Gladys Edwards Tallent. Brenda enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers.

She is survived by two children, Brian Downs and wife Kristen of Morganton, NC and Beth McDaniel and husband Lynn of Franklin; two brothers, Mack Tallent and Dewey Tallent both of Franklin; and two grandchildren, Will Downs and C.J. Downs.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 5, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Creesman and Rev. Lynn McDaniel will officiate. Burial will be in the Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
