Obituary for Billy D. Meadows
Billy D. Meadows, 80, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2006.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Emlis Meadows and Ethel Morgan Meadows. In addition he was preceded in death by brothers, Don, Doyle, Rex, Lionel, Joseph, Gray, Wayne and a sister, Rebecca Meadows Angel. Billy was a member of Rose Creek Baptist Church; and was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. He was an outdoorsman and loved animals, science, history and nature.
He is survived by a brother, Hoke Meadows of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Judson Hall and Rev. Jerry Holden will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Parrish, Mike Meadows, Roy Crowe, Otis Cook, Bernard Huggins and Harold Smarr.
Memorial donations may be made to the Macon County Senior Service Home Delivery, 125 Hyatt Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
