Betty Lou  Waldroop (Detheredge)
Betty Lou Waldroop, 79, of Franklin, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009.

Born in Barbourville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Walter Detheredge and Minnie Stafford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Waldroop; second husband, Verlin Poindexter and brother, Herbert Detheredge. Betty worked for Bowers Department Store and Macon County School System. She loved camping and was a wonderful grandmother. Betty was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Chuck Dorling, Ricky Waldroop and wife Julia and Wayne Waldroop and wife Linda all of Franklin; three siblings, Loraine Lockhart and husband Charles and Mary Flowers, both of Franklin; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Rodriguez and Joe White will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jerome Dorling, Christopher Dorling, Jason Dorling, Samuel Waldroop, Bob Poindexter and Tommy Waldroop.
