Obituary for Betty Sue Sanders (Long)

Betty Sue Sanders, 73, of Franklin, entered into rest on Monday, May 16, 2005.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Henry Long and Ruth Ann Sanders Long. She was married to the late Doyle Rogers Sanders who died in 1988 and was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy McConnell who died in 1994. She was a member of Black Mountain Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Linda Lamb Steiert, Skip Sanders and John Wayne Sanders all of Franklin; four sisters, Marie Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Pansy Long of Umatilla, FL, Shirley Flake of Umatilla, FL and Josephine Stevenson of Enterprise, AL; one brother, Bobby Long of Umatilla, FL; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at Black Mountain Baptist Church. Rev. Bryon Lamb, Rev. Ernie Jamison and Rev. Danny Cannon will officiate. Burial will be in the Black Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Russ Gasaway, Vinnie Agrusa, Skip Sanders, Timmy Flake, Buddy Williams and Jimmy Hopkins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Crisp, Elbert McConnell and Todd McConnell.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
