Obituary for Betty Lou Clontz (Ledford)

Betty  Lou  Clontz (Ledford)
Betty Lou Ledford Clontz, 75, of Franklin, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2007.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Ledford and Dora Elsie Poindexter Ledford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Carson Clontz, Sr.; a son, Glenn Carson Clontz, Jr.; four sisters, Annie Tripplet, Mary Margaret Ledford, Ruth Mahota Ledford and Eva Jane Ledford; four brothers, Lee, Howard, Crawford and Bob Ledford. She was a member of Campton Baptist Church, Monroe, GA.

She is survived by two children, Ellen Ramey and husband Paul of Franklin and Fred Everett Clontz and wife Vickie of Monroe, GA; two sisters, Elda Womack of Charlotte, NC and Virginia Mason of Monticello, GA; four brothers, Hershel Ledford and John Ledford both of Charlotte, NC, Jack Ledford of Wrightsville Beach, NC and Clinton Ledford of Franklin; four grandchildren, Michael Ramey and wife Barbara, Mathew Ramey and wife Colleen, Amber Snively and Ashlea Clontz; five great grandchildren, Austin Ramey, Logan Ramey, Cameron Ramey, Skylar Snively and Lon Lon Snively.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 25, at Burningtown Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Kinard will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, November 24, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Ramey, Mathew Ramey, Patrick Ramey, David Ramey, Mike Allen and Paul Ramey.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
