Avanell Stewart, 69, of Franklin, entered into rest on Saturday, August 6, 2005.

A native of Judsonia, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Lomey Chumley and Bertha Helton Chumley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Free and her twin sister, Annabell Bunch. She was an active member of Franklin Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jake Stewart; six children, Theresa Vandegrifft and husband Joe of Port St. Lucie, FL, Debbie Cramer and husband Mark of Ruston, LA, Sandy Patten and husband Benny of Franklin, Jacob Stewart II and wife Darlene of Searcy, Arkansas, James Stewart of Ft. Pierce, FL and Adam Stewart of Franklin; one sister, Odessa Wiggs of Judsonia, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, at Franklin Church of Christ. Brother Radford Penland and Brother Mark Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in the Prentiss Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, August 8, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tom Johnson, Adam Stewart, Tom Vandegrifft, Al Pribble, Jeff Redman and Mark Cochran.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Crawford and Brown Johnson.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Christian Home and Bible School, 301 West 13th Avenue, Mount Dora, FL 32757 or the Alzheimer Caregiver Connection, 125 Hyatt Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
