Anna Tastinger, 85, of Franklin, entered into rest on Tues., Nov. 14, 2006.

Born in the Czechoslovakia on Sept. 16, 1921. At the age of 18, she came to New York. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Weiss. She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Through her unselfish loving ways she touched the lives of those around her. Her sparkling blue eyes, her smile and her sweet voice will be cherished and remembered always. She loved life and her family was of most importance. Her strong values, honesty and integrity guided her through life and are an inspiration to all of us. Anna was loved by all.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank Tastinger; four children, Frank Tastinger, Jr. and wife Sally of Sunrise, FL, Tom Tastinger, Sr. and wife Jeanne, Barbara Chaplin and husband Sheldon and Rita Houston and husband, Mike all of Franklin; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 16, at Macon Funeral Home. Rosary Service will follow at 8 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 17, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Matthew Kauth will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Anna's eight grandsons will be her pallbearers. Tom Tastinger, Jr., Joe Culpepper, Doug Tastinger, John Tastinger, Michael Culpepper, Anthony Tastinger, David Culpepper and Jason Tastinger.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus.
