Althea Inez Hall Hurst, 93, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008.

Born in Jackson Co, NC, she was the daughter of the late Felix Hall and Lula Ashe Hall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, John “Troy” Hurst who died in 2005; siblings, Mary Ella Hall, Wade Hall, Mont Hall, G.B. Hall and Richard Ashe and daughter, Clarice Cloer. Inez was an active member, choir member, 1st WMU director and Sunday School Teacher at Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by granddaughter, Jo Zachary and husband Tubby of Franklin; great-grandchildren, Tammy McClure and husband Mark of Franklin and Bo Cunningham; four great-great-grandchildren, Robbie and Cassie McMahan and Tyler and Gracee Cunningham; siblings, Irene Hall Bishop and Vera Lee Hall Cope both of Sylva, NC.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Liberty Baptist Church. Rev. Andy Cloer, Rev. Rick Potts, Rev. Wesley Hooper and Rev. Charles Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Shepherd, Steve Shepherd, Gary VanHooser, Ralph Hall, Tim McMahan and Joe Allen.
