Alberta Pearce Siess, 96, of Franklin, entered into rest on Saturday, February 26, 2005.

A native of Edmondton, Alberta, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Leroy Pearce and Edith Bell Rummell Pearce. She was married to the late John D. Siess who died in 1995. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Charles Morant and wife Peggy of Franklin; one brother, W. Allan Pearce and wife Pat of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Chuck Morant of Orlando, FL and Ginny Gude of Dade City, FL; five great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 66 Harrison Avenue, Franklin, NC 28734.
