Aaron Richard Goldstein, 37, of Otto, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, he was the son of Richard Seth Goldstein and Julia Ellen Mooring Goldstein of Otto. He was a US Navy veteran and part owner of Smoked on Rose Restaurant in Chicago, IL. Aaron enjoyed golf, cooking and all sports including baseball. He loved everyone he met and was loved by all who met him and he lived life to the fullest.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Laura Ellen Heberling and husband Ed of Bluffton, SC; his brother, Kyle Mark Goldstein and wife Melissa of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; niece, Allyson Goldstein; uncle, Dr. Efraim Goldstein and wife Jeannie; two aunts, Marcia Goldstein of Canada and Susan Mableson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; several cousins and many friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Pastor John Makinson and Dr. Efraim Goldstein will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:30 a.m., prior to the service on Friday at Macon Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family, who will determine where Aaron would want donations to go (Richard and Ellen Goldstein, 222 Whispering Woods Road, Otto, NC 28763).

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
