Obituary for Joyce Queen (Reeves)

Joyce Reeves Queen, age 78 of Barrett Drive, Lexington passed away Tuesday June 12, 2018 at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Joyce was born in Macon County, NC August 27, 1939 to Glenn B. Reeves and Willa Mae Childers Reeves. She was a homemaker and a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Edward Queen in 1996 and a sister Shirley Reeves Drinnon.

Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Queen of the home and Tammy Wall of Lexington; sons, Steven E. Queen (Valerie) and Patrick J. Queen (Tonia) both of Lexington; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a brother, Bennie J. Reeves of Franklin, NC.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 15 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, June 14.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 16 at Roper Cemetery, Franklin. Rev. Randy Drinnon, Rev. Jim Cochran and Rev. Tony Drinnon will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, June 15 at Macon Funeral Home.
