Lucille Cunningham Tallent, 92, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Sadie Woods Cunningham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband R.L. Tallent; son, Dale Tallent; brothers, Hershel Cunningham, Lonnie Cunningham and J.C. McCoy and one sister, Paulette McCall. Lucille was the last living charter member of Windy Gap Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Kalen Tallent of Franklin; five daughters, Shirley Cope, Katrina “Tinker” Dehart, Helen Neal and Joyce Tallent all of Franklin and Loleta Hodnett of Willow Spring NC; two sisters, Maxine Hodgin and Christine Cunningham both of Franklin; daughter-in-law, Tina Tallent of Franklin; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 3rd at Windy Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Brian Browning will officiate. Burial will be in Iotla Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Windy Gap Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Michael Cope, Rick Dehart, Randy Dehart, Dalen Tallent, Phillip Tallent, Juston Shook and Robbie Tallent.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Windy Gap Baptist Church Building Fund.
