Obituary for Jayne Hammer (Mason)
Jayne Mason Hammer, 80, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
Born in Elkin, NC, she was the daughter of the late Blume Lloyd Mason and Elva Matthews Mason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles K. Hammer. Jayne was a proud registered nurse. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by three sisters, Anne Messer Rolfe of Franklin, Linda Kinley of Yadkinville and Catherine M. James and husband Bob of Franklin; nieces and nephews, Rodger Messer, Lynn Berdan, Joy C. Kinley, Gene Kinley (Bonnie), Robert James Jr. (Sarah Johnson) , Abigail J. Friedling (Joe), Nathan R. James (Carla) and Julie J. Jacobs (Ken) and great nephews, Eric James and James Friedling.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2nd, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Beam will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:15-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
