Condolences

Condolence From: Elisabeth (Libby) Thornton
Condolence: Thank all of you Very Much for your words of deepest caring, love and support for my sister, Molly, and our family. I know so many of you who were in school with my sister, or knew her otherwise, here in Winston-Salem. You have brought back happy memories! I have met a few of you in Franklin, and I am so grateful to you for giving Molly the love and joy of friendship during her many years of living in such a beautiful place.

If I may speak for my family -- Molly's son, Len, his wife, Jen, and their children Steven and Kathleen (whom my sister ADORED); step-brother, Cal, his wife, Lou, and their daughter, Ruth; brother Tom's and his wife, Nicka's children, Tommy, Shelby and Mick and their families; and our beloved cousins -- we are enormously grateful for how well you loved our Precious Molly.

Condolence: So sorry to hear about Molly. First Tom, and now Molly. So sorry. I knew Molly and Tom since we were children and visited her and Steve in Munich. My most heartfelt condolences.

Condolence: Hearing that Molly passed away made me pause and reflect on those times decades ago when we were neighbors and friends at Whitaker Elementary then RJR. In fact, we stumbled through our 'first date' together when we went to Mrs. Baylin's Cotillion Dance - how nervous and awkward we must have been, but how ready we were for that rite of passage.

It was a special reward to know a person as genuine and kind as Molly. To Steve and all her family, I'm truly saddened as I know you are. Be strong.

Condolence: My sincerest condolences for Molly's passing. We were only classmates at RJR, but I clearly remember Molly as a friendly person with an infectious smile. When I started at RJR in the Fall of 1960 I spoke no English yet Molly and many other classmates made me feel at ease which helped me make a smooth transition to anew country. May the Lord keep her at His side.

Condolence: I first remembered Molly as Tom's little sister. When hanging out at their house, Molly was always vibrant and interested in what kind of trouble Tom and I had planned for the day. Fortunately I was able to spend some quality time with her and Steve at the last two high school reunions. We laughed about the "good old days" and how blessed we were to have such wonderful friends. My thoughts and prayers are with Molly and her family.

Condolence: We want to express our most sincere sympathy to you and your family. Molly was one of the most generous, loving and kind people it has been our good fortune to know. She was there to offer assistance to our family when we most needed it. She gave of herself willingly and lovingly and we will never forget her unselfish kindness and generosity.

Molly was always full of good-hearted exuberance when she greeted us. We never knew her to complain. It saddens us deeply to learn she has passed. Her life shines on as a vibrant light to those of us who had the privilege to know her.

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear about Molly's passing. Since we both lived in Merrimont in high school I always think of her whenever I go past her house. I loved seeing her at our 50th reunion. Although I know she was having problems then she was so very cheerful and lovely. My condolences to all of her family.
