Lucille  Ray
Lucille Pendergrass Ray, 93, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Iler Roper Pendergrass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Burl Wayne Ray; son, Bill Ray; daughter, Wanda Shepherd and three brothers and one sister, Alexander, Grady, Pauline and Harrison Pendergrass. Lucille loved word searches, gardening, cooking, reading her bible and spending time with her family. She was the last surviving charter member of Mt. Sinai Assembly of God.
She is survived by five daughters, Deborah Holland, Elaine Holland (Phillip), Ila Giles, Ann Holland and Tammy Collier (Lloyd); one brother, Clifton Pendergrass; one cousin that was like a daughter, Rita McCoy; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19th at Mt. Sinai Assembly of God. Rev. John Raby, Rev. Bryon Lamb and Rev. Jared Benedict will officiate. Burial will be in the Roper Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18th at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be David Pendergrass, Jeff Pendergrass, Jamie Pendergrass, Darren Cochran, Scott Hedden, Josh Cochran and Tony Cochran.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
