“It’s all about Him”

On May 26, 2017 surrounded by family, Mary Beth Houston, after a long battle with cancer went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mary Beth was born on July 21, 1953. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Franklin. She touched many lives with her infectious smile through her many careers as a teacher, mother and secretary. She was always very active in serving the Lord through church ministries as well as in everything she did.

Welcomed into heaven by her parents Charles and Ruth Parrish who preceded her in 2006. She is survived by her devoted, loving husband of 39 years Steve Houston; two daughters, Rebecca Tallent (Clarence) and Emily Chastain (Zeke); one son, John Houston; one sister, Margaret Calloway (Doyle); one brother, Stuart Parrish (Diane) and her beloved, precious grandchildren, Jordyn Sanford, Alex Sanford, Will Chastain, Alicia Chastain, and Morgan Chastain. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family that were dear to her heart.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Franklin on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 2-4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will follow with Dr. Robert Brown, Rev. Jack Jarrett and Rev. Blake Arnold officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to youth ministries of First Baptist Church, Franklin.
